Vivek Ramaswamy for President? (Pro/Con 2024)
The Pros and Cons of Vivek Ramaswamy for President in 2024
My fellow Patriots,
The youngest GOP presidential candidate is working overtime to convince Americans that he is the right man for the job, let us see if that is true.
Vivek Ramaswamy is the 38 year old son of immigrants from India who studied at Harvard and Yale and later became a billionaire through his biotech company Roivant Sciences, which he founded in 2014. On February 21, 2023, it was announced that Mr. Ramaswamy was stepping down from his role at Roivant Sciences to focus on his presidential candidacy.
Mr. Ramaswamy’s candidacy has been marked by an acknowledgement of the issues plaguing Americans, from inflation to China to wokeness (DEI, ESG, CRT, etc). Additionally he has brought a great emphasis to renewing the American spirit and bring back a sense of a national purpose and vision.
Pro
Vivek Ramaswamy, as a founder and CEO of a company, has experience leading people; which is an essential skill for any president. A president must be able to not only lead his staffers directly under him, but also be able to lead and delegate tasks and responsibilities to his cabinet. A president also needs to be able to hire the right people and fire them if they are not the right people. As a former CEO, Ramaswamy has experience with this.
A major part of a president’s job is to be able to communicate his administration’s vision to the American people; so far on the campaign trail, Ramaswamy has gained a lot of recognition by his ability to craft a narrative that attempts to bring out the best in people and their hope for a better future.
A major crisis that is getting worse by the day is the open southern border where illegal aliens and dangerous drugs such as fentanyl are pouring across in historical amounts. An issue that Ramawamy seems to be strong in is his stance on the border crisis. He called for the US military to be activated to help protect our border from cartels as well as prevent illegal immigrants from flooding in.
While it has not been in the forefront of the news recently, the Russia/Ukraine war is still on going. Ramaswamy has taken a lot of heat from establishment Republicans as well as the mainstream media for not supporting an endless supply of money and military equipment to aid Ukraine. He believes a peaceful resolution must be met and it cannot be at the expense of the American people or our national defense.
Con
There are numerous metrics in the political and cultural sphere of things that let the American people know whether a candidate knows what the real issues are. One of the metrics is whether there is massive election fraud in our country. Vivek Ramaswamy has been fairly quiet on the issue of election integrity; and if he has not been quiet, he has flip-flopped on the issue. In a 2022 book, Vivek Ramaswamy praised Mike Pence for certifying the election on January 6, 2021 amidst the chaos, but at the first GOP debate he criticized Mike Pence for January 6th. Because of his flip-flopping, is not actually clear where Ramaswamy stands on election integrity.
A candidate’s perspective on the handling of the Covid-19 “pandemic” matters a lot. During the “pandemic”, Ramaswamy was in favor of legislation that would have given and forced masking upon all Americans. Additionally, in February 2021 he was in favor of vaccinating everyone who was eligible for the Covid-19 “vaccines”; although he has since come out saying he regretted getting the Covid jab. The problem now, is that because he has such a history of flip-flopping on issues, it’s nearly impossible to know if he is being genuine with his anti-Covid jab position or not.
The globalists are the greatest threat to America and our national sovereignty; there is no serious person who refuses this reality. One person who is a wolf in sheep’s clothing on this issue is Vivek Ramaswamy who, prior to his candidacy, paid a Wikipedia editor to remove his association with George Soros. In 2011, Ramaswamy received a Soros Fellowship award while he was a student at Yale University. It seems that Ramaswamy is trying to cover up his association with one of the most infamous globalists in the world.
Barack Obama was one of the most dangerous presidents in modern American history. His campaign rhetoric did not match his presidential action as he worked to destroy the US Constitution. On the Right, Obama is despised (and for good reason); but clearly Vivek Ramaswamy did not get the memo. Instead, he is copying much of Obama’s campaign rhetoric as can be seen in this tweet below.
Just as he has done with election integrity and January 6th, Vivek Ramaswamy has flip-flopping views on climate change. When he is speaking to conservatives, he says that climate change is a hoax, but when speaking to a more moderates audience he talks about the reality of climate change.
Conclusion
The campaign rhetoric of Vivek Ramaswamy has been really strong; he knows how to talk about issues and how to make people like him. At the same time, people are starting to see his inconsistencies and he is losing support as a candidate, although he still is in third place. Ultimately, Ramaswamy’s flip-flops on issues will be the death of his candidacy if he is unable to get ahead of them and reassure Americans that he is the right man to lead the GOP to a victory in the 2024 general election. Even if Ramaswamy is able to spin his flip-flopping on issues positively, that fact that he has numerous times denied his changing positions, tells voters that they cannot trust him as much as they originally thought.
