My Fellow Patriots,
There is a level of shamelessness that shouldn’t be possible, but somehow making up an affair isn’t low enough for that.
On Friday, September 29th, ardent Trump supporter and political consultant, Roger Stone, was caught making up an alleged affair between Florida governor Ron DeSantis and Lindell TV host, Emerald Robinson. Ms. Robinson responded to the accusation on X (formerly known as Twitter), by not only denying ever meeting DeSantis but also threatening a slander and libel lawsuit.
Roger Stone originally made the accusation on Gab and from there the claim traveled to X, where the lie was spread by other users, such as @Libertarians4DT, before Ms. Robinson responded and debunked the lies being spread. Mr. Stone has since deleted the original post on Gab.
In response to Mr. Stone making up an affair, numerous political commentators on X have pointed out how this will negatively reflect upon Donald Trump’s campaign. X user @AGHamilton29, said “[Trump’s campaign is] an entire campaign filled with the worst people in politics.”
Another political commentator, Ryan Girdusky said on X, “Emerald has a family and little children, she’s not a politician and has never even met DeSantis. This is disgusting.”
Roger Stone should be condemned by everyone for his lie, but it seems that most of those in Trump’s orbit are just ignoring this whole ordeal because they do not want to be perceived as defending Ron DeSantis. Of course, there is no regard for how this might affect Emerald Robinson, but apparently she is just someone caught in the crossfire of attacks against DeSantis.
