National Average Gas and Diesel Prices for June 2023
Tracking the Great Reset through Gas Prices
My fellow Patriots,
Gas prices may be finally settling into a consistent pattern (for now), while diesel prices continue to show a worsening economy.
For June 2023, the national average gas price opened up at $3.574 per gallon and they declined for five days to $3.545 per gallon on June 6th. Prices began to increase the following day to $3.553 per gallon and continued to do so for five days to $3.594 per gallon on June 12th. On June 13th, gas prices declined to $3.592 per gallon and the decline continued for five days to $3.576 per gallon. The following day, June 19th, the national average gas price rose to $3.578 per gallon and declined the next day to $3.577 per gallon. Starting on June 21st at $3.581, prices rose for two days to $3.584 per gallon, but on June 24th, the price declined to $3.578 per gallon and continued through the rest of the month to end at $3.543 per gallon on June 30th. All data from AAA.
First of all, I apologize for the blurry diesel chart, as my software was giving me difficulties and forcing me to improvise.
Now to the diesel prices; the national average diesel prices for June 2023 opened up at $3.954 per gallon and then declined for four days to $3.917 per gallon on June 5th. The next two days the prices stayed the same, but there was a single day decline to $3.914 per gallon on June 8th. On June 9th, the price rose to $3.918 per gallon and then to $3.920 per gallon the next day, but on June 11th, the price began to decline to $3.917 per gallon. Except for a single day increase, the national average diesel prices continued to decline for eight days to $3.874 per gallon on June 19th. On June 20th, prices rose to $3.886 per gallon and continued for two days to $3.899 per gallon. On June 23rd, diesel prices declined to $3.896 per gallon and except for one day, declined through the rest of the month to close at $3.864 per gallon.
June of 2023, has been the first month since gas prices started to decline, where the prices essentially stayed flat from the first of the month compared to the last day. This suggests that unless other market forces cause an increase or decrease to the prices, they will mostly stay the same. Now, due to OPEC announcements earlier this month, it is known that they are cutting one million barrels of production per day in July 2023; which will cause an increase in gas and diesel prices.
Now for diesel; as has been seen in the past three months, diesel prices have been consistently declining. In June, prices continued to decline, but nearly at the same rate as previous months. This suggests that prices may begin to level out, at least a little bit. Now, according to sources, UPS drivers may be going on strike nationwide, which will affect the prices of diesel, causing it to decrease as less fuel is consumed (as well as cause other supply chain issues). What might be interesting is to see how the UPS strike and the OPEC cuts will affect diesel prices in opposing ways; will prices just flatten out or spike in either direction?.
In an ever changing economy, staying on top of things is important; not just in relation to gas and diesel prices, but to all things. You must be able to provide for your needs and the needs of your family; so keep watch and stay vigilant.
